IN FRANCE

Several luxury, designer and lifestyle hotels are expected to open in France in 2023.

🛎️ Hotel Aurore in Paris

As first European hotel for the "1 Hotels" eco-luxury hotel group, the Aurore will be located in the heart of the 13th arrondissement of Paris, in the Tolbiac-Chevaleret district and therefore in close proximity to the François Mitterrand library. The hotel will have 140 rooms, including 23 suites, a café overlooking the Claude-Lévi-Strauss promenade, a restaurant-bar with a panoramic view, as well as a 1000 m² fitness centre and spa and the "Nuage Café", a coworking café. Within this 12,700 m² property, a second building will house a youth hostel, the Slo Living Hostel, with 179 beds, as well as a cabaret designed by La Bellevilloise.

The two buildings are designed in wood and bronze metal, and will be connected by a breath-taking 28-metre-high planted walkway.

🛎️ EKLO Paris Porte de Versailles

EKLO Paris is the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles exhibition centre's new hotel. As a complement to the existing accommodation offering, the hotel provides an innovative and ecological concept through its affordable urban lifestyle positioning. Many environmentally responsible features will be implemented here, such as preventing water, energy or food wastage, as well as sorting and recycling of waste.

Catering for both leisure and business travellers, its 340 rooms range from single to family to dormitory rooms. There is also a restaurant, a bar, a shared kitchen, meeting rooms and a panoramic rooftop with views of Paris.

🛎️ Citizen M Opera in Paris

Located on rue du Croissant, near the Grands Boulevards and a few minutes from the Garnier Opéra House, Citizen M Opera will soon be welcoming travellers and residents of the City of Light. It will have 84 rooms, work and relaxation areas, a bar and a 'canteenM', open 24/7. In keeping with its positioning, the hotel will also focus on promoting local Parisian arts and culture with 120 works of art by local artists displayed outdoor, indoor and in-room.

🛎️ Hyatt Place in Cannes

Hyatt is hitting Cannes, opening a 152-room and 7-suite Hyatt Place. With a prime seafront location, it will be close to one of the marinas. Guests will have access to the city centre and the Old Course at the Cannes-Mandelieu golf club.

It will feature two dining areas, the Zoom Glocal Dining bar-restaurant, a rooftop, an infinity pool with sea views and a state-of-the-art fitness centre. The glass façade will bring modernity and light to the lobby and lounge, which will be two floors high. It will also be an ideal venue for events on the Côte d'Azur with a dedicated 400m2 space.

🛎️ Canopy By Hilton in Cannes

Hilton is also coming to Cannes with the opening of a Canopy in the heart of the city, in the emblematic Suquet district, close to the Midi beaches, the Promenade de la Croisette, the Old Port and the Palais des Festivals. This glamorous hotel is ideally situated. Comprising 143 rooms and suites, the majority of which have balconies and sea views, it will also feature a 400 square metre rooftop terrace, a bar and restaurant for both tourists and locals, an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, fitness facilities with a spa, as well as 380 square metres of conference and events facilities.

🛎️ Mama Shelter in Rennes

Located in the Hôtel de la Monnaie, the prestigious building on the Place des Lices in Rennes, the Mama Shelter in Rennes is made up of a group of five buildings from different periods, all of which are listed as heritage sites. The whole represents a surface area of 11,000 m2, and a 4-star hotel with a relaxed style.

119 rooms, "all unique", three bar-restaurants including a panoramic restaurant, a rooftop terrace, a spa with a swimming pool, a space for seminars and short supply chain food stores... like all Mama Shelter hotels, its aim is to be an integral part of neighbourhood life.

🛎️ Wood Hotel & Spa in Trois-Bassins - Reunion Island

Situated on the west side of the island, at the Pointe des Diamants, on the Trois-Bassins municipality coastline, the Côté Sun Hotels group's 4-star boutique hotel will be aimed primarily at local tourists, but will no doubt also attract international visitors.

As its name suggests, the hotel is built mainly in - environmentally responsible - wood, with 84 units: junior and senior suites, 5 villas for rent with panoramic ocean views. On the services side, it will provide a huge 50-metre swimming pool, a large spa, a wine workshop and a gourmet restaurant. The opening of what will be the first luxury hotel in the region is eagerly awaited by the islanders.

IN THE UNITED KINGDOM

🛎️ Six Senses London

Located in the charming West London district of Bayswater, the luxury hotel will be close to Hyde Park and Kensington Palace. Housed in the historic art deco former Whiteleys department store, it will retain its original Grade II façade, central courtyard and dome, as well as the majestic interior staircase (inspired by Milan's La Scala opera house), which forms the centrepiece of the hotel's ground floor.

It will have 110 luxury rooms of at least 33 square metres, suites and 14 private residences. There will be an all-day restaurant with an open kitchen and indoor and outdoor seating, an Alchemy bar, and a lounge. In addition, a 325 square metre area will be dedicated to wellness with a fitness centre, a 20-metre indoor swimming pool, a relaxation room with vaulted ceilings and the famous Six Senses spa with 12 treatment rooms. There will also be a social club, lounges and coworking spaces.

🛎️ St Regis London

After almost a decade, St Regis is finally coming back to London! Taking over the former glamorous Westbury Mayfair Hotel, after an extensive refurbishment and the addition of an eighth floor, The St Regis London will be opening on the corner of Bond Street and Conduit Street in the ultra-exclusive Mayfair area.

The hotel will feature 196 elegant guest rooms and suites, a signature restaurant, a speakeasy jazz bar, fitness centre and spa, as well as the brand's signature butler service. The iconic Polo Bar, originally designed by the American Philipps family, is being preserved.

🛎️ Hyde Paradox Hotel London City

The Hyde Paradox Hotel London City, the hotel group's first in Europe, will be located in the historic Old Bailey district in the heart of London. Restoring an iconic former hotel, the "Spires & Pond Hotel", which was open from 1874 to 1900, this establishment is designed to be a destination in itself. Its aim is to provide a new kind of hospitality with a spirit of discovery, nightlife fantasy and the adventure of new encounters. The 7-storey, 110-room hotel will feature two restaurants, one of which will serve eastern Mediterranean cuisine, a Japanese-inspired speakeasy bar, a state-of-the-art gym and meeting rooms.

🛎️ The Langham in Venice

The Langham Venice will be housed in the former Casino Mocenigo, whose heritage dates back to the early 1600s, on the south-eastern shore of the island of Murano, facing Venice lagoon. In a typical Venetian architectural style, guests will find a mix of classic frescoes and modernity, a courtyard with an outdoor swimming pool and a well-tended garden with stunning views over the water.

The hotel will boast 138 rooms, 2 restaurants with selective cuisine as well as a cookery school, outdoor dining areas and open-air bars including a rooftop bar, ideal for small and larger celebrations. 🛎️ Hotel Bulgari in Rome

Housed in the 1930s modernist building that served as Bulgari's headquarters and inspiration, Bulgari Hotel Roma will open just minutes from Bulgari's flagship store in Via Condotti and opposite the Mausoleum of Augustus in the Champa di Marzo district. Renovated in the spirit of ancient Rome, and housing a collection of modern and antique artworks, as well as a library dedicated to the history of Bulgari jewellery, the hotel will provide 100 rooms, the majority of which will be suites, the restaurant of the prestigious chef Niko Romito and the Il Bulgari Bar.

IN AUSTRIA

🛎️ The Hoxton, Vienna

The hotel brand is continuing to expand in Europe with a new address in Vienna, at the Stadtpark. The Hoxton Vienna has chosen an impressive 1950s modernist building, the former headquarters of the Austrian Chamber of Commerce, and will feature 196 rooms, a spacious lobby and café bar, a restaurant and terrace, a rooftop bar and pool, as well as a basement speakeasy and The Apartment meeting and event space.

It will also house an auditorium to host entertainment events.

IN SPAIN

🛎️ Son Bunyola Hotel & Villas in Majorca

A new luxury Majorcan getaway will be opening in the summer of 2023: the Son Bunyola Hotel. Joining the three existing villas, the hotel will be the latest addition to the Virgin Limited Edition collection. Built in a 15^th century finca, renovations have been carried out with due respect to the building's heritage. The original towers of the main house will be transformed into two Tower Suites with views of the vineyards and mountains, while the old olive press will become the hotel's restaurant and the historic terrace will house the swimming pool. On the accommodation side, 26 suites and luxury rooms will welcome travellers.

🛎️ Four Seasons in Majorca

Originally opened in 1929, the Four Seasons is taking over an existing hotel that will undergo extensive renovations to bring it up to the collection's standards. Set in 1,200 hectares of land on the Formentor peninsula, with access to a pristine beach, all 110 rooms and suites will have views of the turquoise sea or the lush forest.

A vineyard, a 5-minute drive away, will enable guests to enjoy an exclusive programme of events, including farm-to-fork activities. The resort will also feature an indoor restaurant, a beachfront restaurant and café, as well as a poolside bar and grill, tennis courts and attractive spa facilities.

🛎️Rosewood in Amsterdam

Housed in the former courthouse in the canal district of Amsterdam, overlooking the Prinsengracht (Prince's Canal), one of the city's most beautiful waterways, the hotel will have a prime central location. The Rosewood Amsterdam is set to be an unprecedented gathering place for visitors and the local community.

The property will consist of 134 rooms and suites, many of which will have spectacular views of the adjacent canals, quiet courtyards and townhouse roofs. Facilities will include three restaurants and bars, the Rosewood Sense Spa, a state-of-the-art fitness centre and an indoor pool. 🛎️ Fairmont Golden Prague Hotel

The city's former Intercontinental was acquired by the Fairmont Group. The Fairmont Golden Prague Hotel will retain the building's brutalist architectural style while presenting a new design concept rooted in the history of Parizska Boulevard where it is located.

There will be 297 rooms on eight floors, including 40 junior suites, 8 suites and a presidential suite overlooking the Vltava River. The hotel will feature a large spa with an indoor and outdoor pool and a gym. Of the 3 restaurants, the one on the 9^th floor is intended to be a popular local meeting place and is situated next to the Sky Bar - one of 3 bars, with exceptional views of the city. 🛎️ Intercontinental Resort, Crete

Located on the seafront of the charming coastal town of Ágios Nikólaos, less than an hour from Heraklion International Airport, the new InterContinental Resort Crete promises to be idyllic. Accor will be opening a Mövenpick in Split next spring. Located on Znjan beach, one of the most famous sites in Split, this premium hotel will offer 156 comfortable rooms with sea views. Hilton is continuing its expansion by opening a resort on the private Waldorf Astoria Platte island in the Seychelles. The island is located 130 km south of Mahé and is reputed to be heaven on earth, home to a palm forest and surrounded by a coral reef and lagoon. A small airstrip provides access to the island from the main airport on Mahé. The resort will offer an ultra-luxury experience with 59 beachfront villas, all with private pools. 🛎️ Six Senses Southern Dunes, The Red Sea

Unspoilt and attractive, this part of the world remains relatively little known. In ancient times, however, it was a busy trade route used by the Nabateans. On the way, they would set up camp and gather around the fire under the starry sky.

Inspired by the historic incense trade route, the desert plains, wadis and mighty Hijaz mountains, Six Senses Southern Dunes, The Red Sea will invite its guests to savour an exceptional natural and cultural experience.

The resort is a veritable oasis of lush flora blurring the boundaries between indoor and outdoor spaces. The structure will have a light footprint in order to preserve the surrounding paths and keep their authenticity, and its decoration is inspired by the desert and traditional tribal clothing.
Guests can choose from 36 suites with terraces and views and 40 villas high up in the dunes.
